Location: Sittingbourne (Kent)

Key responsibilities and duties for this position:

– Inspecting machines when they arrive in the country to ensure the equipment meets the correct quality standards and accurately recording information of defects.

– Carry out visual inspections, take photos, complete relevant paperwork and update on the CRM system,

– Carry out monthly stock inspections if machines are stored in the yard for set periods of time.

– Control the machine inspection tracker sheet.

– Keep all machines and attachments in the correct locations in a tidy manner.

– Fit DataTag kits to machines and ensure all paperwork is complete and submitted to process.

Requirements for the role:

– Most importantly is an eye for detail and a customer focussed approach to quality

– Basic knowledge of Excel / Word programmes and the ability to update the inhouse CRM system

– Being able to complete paperwork accurately.

– Experience working with Heavy Plant equipment with some mechanical knowledge.

– Being able to operate excavators, Telehandlers, Wheeled loading shovels in a safe manner is desirable although training will be given.

– Demonstrated self-starter with strong initiative skills and a can-do positive attitude; the ability to work autonomously.

– Ability to work effectively in a team when required.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Experience of carrying out risk assessments and health & safety knowledge within the workplace is desirable.

– Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel independently to the job site.

– A clean DBS check will be required due to machine DataTag security rules
